The Pure Pit Balm is a natural deodorant made with all certified organic ingredients created with a proprietary recipe developed by the Sweet Harvest Farms owner who has 24 years medical experience. 

Deodorants work by killing off the bacteria in your armpit and then adding perfume.  Some commercial deodorants contain antiperspirants that actually clog your sweat ducts, not so good. That is your bodies natural cooling mechanism. Then there is the use of questionable ingredients like aluminum and alcohol that can be so harmful to your health!

Without the right combination of essential oils and organic ingredients your arm pits could become a petri-dish of bacteria! It could be possible that a good organic deodorant containing pro-biotic can not only help treat body order by allowing good bacteria to grow, but also keep the bad stuff at bay.

Sweet Harvest Farms has created a Tick Repellent that is both DEET Free and gentle to your skin. DEET (N,N-diethyl-meta-toluamide) is usually the main ingredient in commercial bug, tick and mosquito repellent products.

Duke University has found that “rats treated with just the average human dose of performed far worse than control rats when challenged with any physical tasks requiring muscle control, or coordination. They have also concluded that children are at a higher risk for brain changes after using DEET due to skin absorption.

Another study found that geranium oil works well in repelling ticks. The plant species is Pelargonium x Asperum (Geranium Bourbon) and is derived from a French island. It is also produced in very small quantities and many aroma-therapists claim it can help repel ticks. It is not a guarantee but it will certainly deter the pest!

It is always a good idea whenever coming in from outdoors where ticks might be found, to use a pet lint roller over your clothing changing lint roller sheets often. These will pick up any ticks that have clung to your clothing. The ticks that do the most harm carrying Lyme disease are extremely tiny and can be hard to see, hence the need for lint rollers.

Sweet Harvest Farms has formulated a recipe containing moisturizing ingredients such as organic  Cocoa butter, Shea Butter, Natural Bees Wax and Vitamin E, this lotion also contains Pelargonium x Asperum along with organic Lemon Eucalyptus, Lavender Oil, Peppermint, Rosemary Oil and a touch of Tea Tree (that also works on mosquitos)

Fraiche Organic Tooth Powder

When a dentist purchases your tooth powder after reading all the ingredients and then returns 4 weeks later for more, that’s impressive. When he tells you he is referring your product to his patients, that’s amazing!

Why tooth powder? Just read the label on any major brand toothpaste, mouthwash or even some tooth powders. You'll see they are loaded with dangerous toxins and chemicals such as sodium fluoride (which is used in rat poison), triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate, hydrated silica and xyitol. Also added is glycerin which over time builds up film over your teeth much like furniture polish. This does not allow for anything beneficial or re-mineralization to occur for either your gums or enamel. All of these common ingredients have been found to be harmful to humans.

We use Bentonite clay which has ability to bind and pull toxins from your mouth and body. Bentonite clay is also rich in minerals that can nourish teeth and gums. When rinsing your mouth the water will be brownish. This is from the bentonite  clay. Don’t worry it does not stain. (See brushing instructions below)

*Baking soda gently polishes teeth and naturally whitens your smile and baking soda as less abrasive than most commercial toothpastes. We also use aluminum FREE baking soda.

*Sage  - has been recognized by many cultures for its natural tooth-whitening abilities, known for its astringent properties. sage is perfect for oral health and whitening discolored teeth.

*Coconut Oil - Candida and Streptococcus are common residents in your mouth, These germs and their toxic waste products cause plaque accumulation and tooth decay. Coconut oil is a powerful inhibitor of a large variety of pathogenic organisms, from viruses to bacteria to protozoa, largely due to its naturally high lauric acid content, Lauric acid is considered a “healthier” saturated fat because it is a medium-chain triglyceride. Lauric acid is more easily absorbed by the body and has a host of other associated health benefits.

*Sea salt – Pure sea salt is full of tooth-nourishing minerals (magnesium, calcium, potassium, iodine, iron, manganese, zinc and selenium) , and is especially helpful in healing irritated gums.

*Celtic Salt- Celtic salt is rich in trace minerals such as magnesium, potassium, calcium, and iron, which contribute to its distinctive flavor and potential health benefits. Being unrefined, it is free from chemicals, preservatives, and other additives. This salt also helps with eliminating inflammation from gums.

*Cinnamon - Which has anti-bacterial properties and nutrients such as catechins which trigger the release of a hormone called insulin. It also contains phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and iron

*Cloves - Contains antiseptic and germicidal properties that help fight infections, relieve digestive problems and arthritis pain.

Trace Minerals - Helps maintain tooth enamel health. 
Trace minerals can work in conjunction with macro minerals to help remineralize the teeth. Macro minerals are the minerals most people are more familiar with, like calcium and phosphorus

*Peppermint essential oil - Has antibacterial, antiseptic, and pain-relieving properties. In addition, it adds a cool, minty fresh flavor to this tooth powder.

*Tangerine Essential Oil – This essential oil is a powerful antioxidant

Beware of tooth powders that use Xylitol It is used as a sweetener additive yet even the ingestion of a small amount of Xylitol can cause severely low blood sugar, seizures or liver injury.

Due to the adverse laxative effect that all polyols have on the digestive system in high doses, Xylitol is also banned from soft drinks in the European Union for a reason.

(As always do your own research. Look up each ingredient that is in your tube of toothpaste. What you find might scare you.) 

There is also room on the tooth that is on the label for each member of the family to put their initial so that everyone has their own container of tooth powder avoiding cross contamination if someone should be ill.

To use: Wet your brush and shake just a little. Press toothbrush into powder twice. You may wet the tip just a bit before brushing. Brush your teeth. Rinse brush thoroughly. 

When you spit it will be brown. Don't panic - it is the Bentonite Clay added to draw germs from your mouth and will not stain your teeth. Just continue to rinse until water is clear. Leave toothbrush out to dry. It is always a good practice to buy a new tooth SOFT bristle brush every 2 to 3 months, AND always after any sickness.

Ingredients:

Shea Butter - Shea Butter works as an emollient that softens and hydrates skin. Aloe Vera - Researchers concluded that the use of Aloe Vera as a home remedy for diaper rash was “clearly supported” because of Aloe Vera's anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. 

Bentonite Clay – Helps absorb bacteria away from the skin. Bentonite is actually one of the most effective and powerful healing clay's.

We use organic Bentonite Clay that has been tested for heavy metal contamination and microbials because you should only use the purest, 100% raw, unrefined Bentonite Clay that has no additives, binders, excipients, fillers, preservatives, or ANY chemicals in it.

Rose Hip Oil - Is one of the essential plant-derived oils to take care of your skin. It is rich in fatty acids such as Omega-3, Omega-6 and linoleic acid, it also contains vitamins A, C and E, and natural antioxidants. It also has anti-inflammatory and healing properties.

Thyme Oil - This oil also contains thymol. It works well on large areas of skin

Clove Oil: This oil has a chemical called eugenol. Eugenol is great at stopping fungal cells from spreading

Pure Beeswax - Helps to keep formula melded and unwanted moisture away from skin. We use just a pinch of beeswax.

How to use: 

Clean affected area with cool or tepid water using Sweet Harvest Farms organic Neem Oil  Soap. Gently pat dry area with paper towel and throw towel away. Always apply with clean dry fingers/hands. DO NOT put damp fingers/hands into ointment or put fingers back into ointment to get more ointment without cleaning fingers thoroughly first. Very little balm is needed. Can be used as many times during the day as needed. 

Remember, You need just a tad -literally, so this jar packs a punch and will last a very long time!

Wench Organic Handmade Soap

This was made as a counterpart to our "Blackbeard". Both soaps were made in celebration of Gasparilla ( kind of a Tampa, FL answer to Mardi Gras). The City of Tampa, celebrates the apocryphal legend of José Gaspar (also known as Gasparilla), a mythical Spanish pirate who supposedly operated in Southwest Florida in the early 1800s.

A creamy white soap with notes of Amber, Musk and Ginger, it is the perfect blend for the pirate in all of us! A little bit naughty and a little bit nice. The bits of roses on top are weathered and dried as it is tough being a wench after all.This is going to be one of those scents that flies off the shelf!

Large 7 oz. Bar will last approximately 8-10 weeks in the shower!  Not because of it's size, but because this is a true soap. Our proprietary formula leaves your skin both soft and squeaky clean. If your "soap" leaves a film in your shower it is doing the same to your skin and is most likely made from a base or melt and pour! Yuk!

I have had many refer to how we formulate our diaper rash cream as "diaper ointment on steroids"! But we believe, that less is not more, in this case. The more organic and necessary ingredients combined can help soothe and promote healing rather than just a few that do nothing but dry the skin out causing chapping and the flaking of skin.

Sweet Harvest Farms will never use any petroleum or mineral oil derivatives to include lanolin. The occlusive nature of petroleum and mineral oil can create a warm, moist environment for yeast and fungus to grow.

Likewise, we choose not to use Zinc Oxide that is normally found in many cosmetic products to include sunscreen and diaper cream.

Some fear zinc oxide due to the perceived health risks of zinc oxide nano particles entering the bloodstream. However, research as shown zinc oxide particles which are larger than 30nm are not absorbed by the body when used in lotions or creams. We just don't like taking that chance and we choose to use just a tad of 100% pure beeswax to help form a barrier against moisture.

Don't think it's just for baby's bums either! Come on ladies and gents we have all been there!

How to use: Clean affected area with cool or tepid water using Oh Baby Oh Organic Soap. Gently pat dry area with paper towel and throw towel away. Always apply with clean dry fingers/hands. When raising my babies I found that some level of diaper rash, no matter how hard you try, is unavoidable. When this happened I found that after applying the diaper cream and allowing the baby to be without a diaper (free to breath!) for extended periods of time helped hasten healing.

Sweet Harvest Farms Witches Brew original and organic tea infused handmade soap starts with brewing the tea, of course, using distilled water. It is then added to the cold processed soap method that Sweet Harvest Farms has perfected. Using original recipes that are only exclusive to SH Farms, the tea leaves themselves are then added to the soap and later sprinkled on top for a gentle exfoliation.
