Sweet Harvest Farms recipe is like no other and even though the aroma is strong in the jar it does not smell strong under your arms. Adding shelf stable pro-biotic has also been a game changer.

Deodorants work by killing off the bacteria in your armpit and then adding perfume. Some commercial deodorants contain antiperspirants that actually clog your sweat ducts, not so good. That is your bodies natural cooling mechanism. Then there is the use of questionable ingredients like aluminum and alcohol that can be so harmful to your health!

Without the right combination of essential oils and organic ingredients your arm pits could become a petri-dish of bacteria! Pine tar treats fungal skin issues by acting as a natural antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and anti-itch agent. It inhibits fungal growth, relieves the intense itching and scaling associated with conditions like athlete's foot and ringworm, and reduces the redness caused by inflammation

Sometimes the oldest remedies are still worth keeping around.

Ingredients:

Saponified Organic oils of Shea Butter, Coconut oil, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Palm Oil (sustainable), and pure Creosote-Free Pine Tar along with Vitamin E and Orris Root, and Rosemary Extract.

"CJ, I followed your suggestions: 1) I shampooed with your Pine Tar soap for 2 weeks, then switched to the No More Eczema soap. 2) I stopped shampooing every day, now just 3 days/wk. next week I go to 2 days/wk. 3) I brush my hair every day, about 40-50 strokes. I started this routine about 6 weeks after speaking with you and before my 6 month dermatology appointment.

At my appointment I told my dermatologist that I was trying something new since the shampoos that I had been using (especially the prescription one) were not giving me any relief from the itching and in fact it seemed worse. Neem Oil has been used in India for hundreds of years for many health issues to include skin ailments. Neem contains antibacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, antihistamine and anti-microbial properties making it perfect for problem skin issues. Neem Oil comes from the Neem Tree which can grow quite large. Their leaves are also used to treat eczema and psoriasis to name a few but the oil derived comes from their olive-like fruit. Neem Oil is shown to help prevention of diseases because of its ability to inhibit bacterial growth and modulation of genetic pathways. It also contains compounds of nimbin, limonoids and quercetin which what give it the properties mentioned above. It is a dark greenish color that has a strong and earthy scent.

Neem oil is highly sought after as a natural skin care regimen as it is high in anti-oxidants and carotenoids which help protect the skin from oxidative stress and damage. Neem Oil is also high in Vitamin E, triglycerides, and calcium so it can penetrate the out layers of the skin to help heal and repair skin damage. It is also used for its insecticidal and anti-inflammatory properties (one reason we use it in our Dog Soap, Skeeter Eater and Tick-no-Stick). Traditionally Neem Oil has been used to treat skin ulcers, skin diseases, wounds and itching.

So now that you have the "skinny" on Neem Oil you may wonder why you don't see more of it. Well, I think the answer could be two-fold. It has a powerful earthy aroma which can be off putting. We use essential Lavender and Lemon Oil not only to help with the strong scent, but also because these oils have their own therapeutic properties. Crushed Neem leaves are added within and on top for a soft exfoliation. Neem oil is often used for eczema, psoriasis and fungal issues of the skin and those that use it can benefit from its medicinal properties.

Another reason is because people are just now beginning to learn the benefits of organic and natural ways to help heal without relying on pharmaceuticals that can contain substances that can actually be harmful when used for any length of time.

Like all of our organic handmade bath and body products we have developed our own proprietary recipe using this ancient oil to help with all skin issues.

Did you know that people who use Turmeric soap can actually reduce skin inflammation and sometimes even repair the damage of the skin? The soap soothes pores and can create a calming effect. Turmeric soap has antioxidant and antiseptic properties.

It can help to heal wounds, prevent break outs, fight eczema and psoriasis, reduce acne scarring, brighten dark circles and brighten skin. Since it has anti-inflammatory properties, Turmeric soap may help to help reduce blemishes, and heal the skin.

Turmeric, a golden yellow spice, is currently one of the most popular ingredients in skincare. Dermatologists suggest that turmeric offers significant skin benefits, including calming skin rashes, lightening dark spots and hyperpigmentation, treating acne, and brightening skin tone.

Turmeric, related to ginger, is a root plant commonly used as a spice worldwide, particularly in South Asia. Its distinctive yellow color comes from curcumin, an active ingredient known for its potent anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antineoplastic, and antioxidant properties that combat free radicals, explains Dr. Patel.

Historically, turmeric has been used as an anti-inflammatory and health supplement, aiding in wound healing and pain relief. It is also prevalent in Ayurvedic skincare. “It is often applied to the skin of brides and grooms before their wedding to enhance their complexion and give their skin a glow,” notes Dr. Bhanot.

1. **Calms inflammation**: Turmeric provides "anti-inflammatory benefits and protection from environmental damage," says Dr. Sethi. Since inflammation is the root cause of many skin problems, reducing it can improve conditions like acne, rashes, and redness.

2. **Treats acne**: Turmeric and its active ingredient curcumin have been shown to improve acne lesions when ingested or applied topically, according to Wizemann. Dr. Patel recommends making a paste with turmeric, water, and lemon (vitamin C) to spot-treat pimples overnight.

3. **Soothes skin rashes**: Turmeric is used to heal scars, skin rashes, burns, and other skin conditions like dermatitis and psoriasis, says Dr. Sethi. “It aids in skin renewal, although it is not solely responsible for it.”

4. **Lightens dark spots**: While not an immediate solution, “topical turmeric helps with discoloration or hyperpigmentation if used consistently over time,” says Dr. Patel.

5. **Brightens skin**: One of turmeric’s most noted benefits is its ability to brighten the skin. “Turmeric reduces excess melanin production, which can brighten skin tone,” says Dr. Sethi.

Studies have also shown that turmeric can reduce dark spots on the skin, also known as hyperpigmentation. One study showed a 14% reduction in hyperpigmentation after 4 weeks.

Because Turmeric can be a bit drying it is suggested that you follow using your soap with lotion (preferably by Sweet Harvest Farms)

Make sure you’re not allergic to turmeric before using it topically. Patch test any turmeric-based skin treatment by applying a small portion to your inner arm or wrist.

If you develop contact dermatitis with any skincare product, you may notice burning, itching, stinging, or soreness. flushed skin and inflammation. If this occurs stop using soap at once and contact your doctor.
