Detox while you soak!

The benefits of bath salt go far beyond simple exfoliating dead cells. Soaking in a tub of bath salts can help relax, release muscle tension, aid in helping control athletes foot, eczema, calluses and other skin irritations.

Depending on ingredients used bath salts can even help boost the immune system by cleansing toxins from the body (detoxifying). We have added organic Bentonite Clay to do just that! It’s not just about that sore back or releasing the tension form a hard day at work. It is also about taking care of your skin, and recharging mind and body. Our recipe was formulated to cleanse, heal and nourish your skin.

Turn faucet on to fill tub. Using Scoop included in package, use two to four scoopfuls of salt – (or however many scoops you would like). Sprinkle under the running water so that it can dissolve completely before you enter the tub. You can also add a teaspoonful of coconut oil for a more supple soak but remember it could make your tube a bit slippery so care should be taken exiting and entering the tub should you chose to add the oil. Soak for 15-20 minutes, rinse with water, and pat dry. Don’t bathe afterwards. You’ll be washing away the nutrients before they can be absorbed into your skin Save your soap bath another time!

As always, we go a step beyond what most offer commercially. We only use the highest quality salts, clays and oils. It is not just about what salts are used but also the ratio used in our own recipe.

Ingredients:

Magnesium Flakes (Dead Sea)

Magnesium is the second most abundant element in the body, and it is responsible for over 300 enzymes and reactions within our bodies. Magnesium is crucial for many processes, some of which include adenosine triphosphate (ATP) metabolism, DNA and RNA synthesis, and protein synthesis. Magnesium deficiency is usually associated with muscle aches and cramps. This is because magnesium is essential to regulate muscle contraction, as well as muscle relaxation. It also plays an important role in blood pressure, nerve transmission, and regulates energy production. Magnesium helps to replenish electrolytes, reduce bodily stress and fatigue, promotes a good mood and helps to reduce inflammation.

Himalayan Salt – Millions of years ago, as the great mountain ranges were being formed, these ancient sea salt deposits were preserved and protected from pollutants by layers of volcanic eruptions. Now careful and sustainable harvesting brings us some of the finest, most beneficial bath salts available anywhere in the world. Himalayan contain 84 valuable trace minerals, giving these salts an appealing natural pink coloring. These salts are amazing for maintain the PH balance of your skin and can help reduce muscle tension.

Dead Sea Salt - Cleopatra was known as the “woman who time could not wither” and attributed that to the benefits of this special sea salt. Dead Sea salts are made up of a high percentage of magnesium, sulfates and potassium which are known to reduce pain and inflammation from arthritis. High mineral contents of this salt can be both cleansing and detoxifying for your skin.

Black Lava Hawaiian Sea Salt - This salt is incredibly detoxifying and purifying to the skin.

Epsom Salt – This salt is named for a bitter saline spring at Epsom in Surrey, England, and is not a salt at all but a naturally occurring pure mineral compound of magnesium and sulfate. Studies have shown that magnesium and sulfate are absorbed easily through the skin, making it easy to absorb its amazing health benefits. Magnesium helps reduce inflammation. Sulfates help with the absorption of nutrients and flush toxins.

French Grey Sea Salt – This salt is formed as the sea water flows into the Guerande marshes, in France, during high tides. As the water settles into a settling pond, evaporating and leaving behind a crystallized salt. It is then hand-harvested by salt workers, using skills and methods that are over a thousand years old. This salt is high mineral content that includes magnesium and many other trace minerals. Soaking with Grey Sea Salts helps to re-mineralize the body, maintain balance and promote healthy skin.

Epsom Salt - People use Epsom salts baths as a home treatment for: Arthritis pain and swelling. Bruises and sprains. Fibromyalgia, a condition that makes your muscles, ligaments, and tendons hurt, and causes tender points throughout your body

Bentonite Clay - Bentonite comes from naturally occurring volcanic ash sediments here in the U.S. This clay has been used to help in mineral deficiencies, and to bind toxins (detoxify) whether from the skin or internally. Bentonite Clay is also one of the most effective and powerful healing clays.

Rosemary: Rosemary oil contains properties that can kill bacteria, fungi and other viruses on your skin. Many use it on minor wounds and burns, or on skin that may be affected by dermatitis, acne, eczema and even psoriasis. Rosemary oil can help to stimulate cell renewal and infuse skin with moisture to improve circulation.

Most store bought deodorants and anti-perspirants contain both chemicals and additives. We have made it simple for you to purchase exactly what you need to include a wooden spoon to stir your mixture.

Simply follow instructions on the bag. Remember not to use any metal, instead use the wooden spoon provided and mix in a glass, ceramic or plastic bowl. Mix to the consistency of sour cream or lotion. Apply thin layer and let sit for about 10 mins. If it is irritating, rinse immediately and pat dry. Try again the next day.

Your arm pit may appear red after use but that is normal unless it is irritated or itchy. If it does become irritated or red STOP using immediately. This could indicate that you may have a light allergy although I have never heard of anyone being allergic to Bentonite Clay…..but you never know!
